Fynnally (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates fynnally.com and the Fynnally app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service. By using Fynnally, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your full name and email address. This information is used to identify your account and communicate with you about the service.

Financial Data

You voluntarily provide financial data including income sources and amounts, recurring bills and expenses, debt balances and interest rates, and financial goals. This data is stored securely and used solely to power Fynn's recommendations.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the app: pages visited, features used, and actions taken. This helps us improve the product and understand what's working.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never store your credit card number or banking details. We receive a customer ID and subscription status from Stripe to manage your plan.

Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics 4 and Posthog to understand usage patterns. These services may collect anonymized data about your device, browser, and in-app behavior.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the Fynnally service
  • To power Fynn's AI-driven financial recommendations — your financial data is sent to Anthropic's API to generate personalized advice
  • To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe
  • To send service-related emails (account confirmations, billing receipts, important product updates)
  • To analyze usage patterns and improve the product
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity

We do not send marketing emails without your consent. We do not sell your data. We do not use your financial data for advertising.

Data Storage and Security

  • All financial data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security (RLS) enabled — your data is only accessible to your account
  • All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS and encrypted at rest
  • We do not sell your personal or financial data to any third party
  • We do not share your financial data with third parties except as strictly necessary to provide the service (Anthropic for AI processing, Stripe for payments)
  • We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data is removed from our systems within 30 days

Third-Party Services

Fynnally uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:

Anthropic

Your financial data (income, bills, debts, goals) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate Fynn's recommendations. Anthropic processes this data according to their API usage policies. Data sent to the API is not used to train Anthropic's models.

Stripe

Payment processing, subscription management, and billing are handled by Stripe. Stripe stores your payment method and billing information securely.

Supabase

Your account and financial data are stored in Supabase's cloud database infrastructure, hosted on AWS.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns and usage. GA4 may use cookies and collects anonymized usage data.

Posthog

We use Posthog for product analytics to understand how users interact with specific features. Posthog data is used only for product improvement.

Your Rights

  • Access your data: Export a complete copy of your financial data at any time via Settings → Export Data
  • Correct your data: Edit any of your financial information directly in the app
  • Delete your account: Contact us at support@fynnally.com to request account deletion
  • Opt out of analytics: You can disable analytics cookies in your browser settings or use a browser extension to block tracking
  • Data portability: Your exported data is provided in JSON format for portability
